2012 CANADIAN AMERICAN BUSINESS ACHIEVEMENT AWARD

The Canadian American Business Council (CABC) is pleased to request nominations for the prestigious
2012 Canadian American Business Achievement Award. Each year, the Council seeks information
about innovative and successful alliances between Canadian and American firms to recognize the
benefits that these partnerships bring to both countries in jobs, innovation, and revenue creation.

These efforts culminate in the presentation of the Award for Canadian American Business Achievement,
awarded to two companies, one Canadian and one American, whose joint enterprise has demonstrated:

  •  Strong business growth
  •  Remarkable innovation
  •  The capacity to provide the partners with a global advantage

The business and trade relationship between the United States and Canada remains the largest in the
world. Innovative Canadian and American firms that seek the advantages of partnerships across the
border, despite difficult economic circumstances, are driving an increasing proportion of that business.
This November we will celebrate Canadian American business achievement in Ottawa, Canada.

The winners are chosen by an international panel of judges using exacting standards that examine
sustained profitability, job creation, financial strength, environmental responsibility, corporate synergy,
exceptional imagination and remarkable innovation.

The 2012 Canadian American Business Achievement Award will mark the 18th year of recognizing and
promoting the positive contributions that innovative cross-border business partnerships make to both
the United States and Canada. In 2009, CABC introduced the Canada/U.S. Corporate Leadership Award,
presented to an individual - with the addition of a new award, the Business Achievement Award will now
be presented on a biennial basis. The Business Achievement Award continues to be a signature event
for the CABC – generating a typical luncheon crowd of 500 cross border business leaders and
government officials along with significant media coverage.
