Michael Rapino - President and Chief Executive Officer, Live Nation Entertainment, Inc.
Michael Rapino was named President and Chief Executive Officer of the newly created Live Nation Entertainment in January 2010. He was instrumental in leading the merger of Ticketmaster and Live Nation to create the #1 live event company in the world. In 2009, Live Nation Entertainment sold nearly 200 million tickets, promoted 22,000 concerts, partnered with 850 sponsors and averaged 25 million unique monthly users of its e-commerce sites.
Prior to the merger, Michael held the position of President and Chief Executive Officer of Live Nation since August 2005. In the four short years under Michael’s leadership, the company solidified its position as the world’s largest producer of live concerts with operations in 28 countries and revenues exceeding $4 billion. He transformed the company from a fragmented entertainment company to the #1 live music company in the world.

Early in Michael’s career, he co-founded Core Audience Entertainment – a leading concert promoter and entertainment marketing company in Canada, which was acquired by SFX in 1999.
Michael began his career at Labatt Breweries where he subsequently became Head of Marketing for Labatt brands and oversaw its entertainment assets. He holds a bachelor degree in business from Lakehead University.
